Welcome to my page!
I wanted to have some place where people could find out what all is going on at Double L Acres.  I get calls from all my friends and they are always asking, "What is going on?" or "What is new?"

As we grow, I have met so many wonderful people who have inspired me or helped me on this long journey of life!  These people have etched a special place in my heart and life and I want to share some of these things with you!

December 2011

Rossi is growing so fast!  He and Martini are best friends and I can't tell you how fun it is watching them play!  If Mark would let me, I would probably have 10 Maltese in the house, but I have to settle on just two!  They are just the neatest dogs!

Tila had her puppies on Thanksgiving day.  They are to the place where they know who we are and we make them feel good by petting them, LOL.  Such sweethearts...this group will be hard to let go, but there are some great families who will be taking them home.  Misha had her litter 2 weeks later!  We are puppy rich at our place!

The mares are getting larger.  We won't have any babies until March.  I sold the mares we had coming early.  Believe me, I'm not upset by having to get up early in the morning in below zero weather to help with foaling.  The older I get, the more I appreciate spring births!!  I will have to start teaching DC the breeding phantom in January.  He is so smart, I don't think it will take long!

We went down to Florida on the 12th for a board meeting and had a great time!  Mom and Jack have moved into their new house.  They still have boxes everywhere, but took the time to make room for us!  I took some pictures of some of the house.  It is just beautiful!!

We were so busy down there, but it was a nice busy.  We had our board meeting, the company Christmas Party, meet Santa Brunch at Willoughby Golf Club.  I also got to help my mom decorate their house for Christmas, shopping, eating lots of great fish for lunch and dinner, golf, and going to the beach!

The picture to the left is of myself and Ava (my great niece), decorating cookies at the club.  They had some great activities for the kids.

The pictures below are of my favorite place...the beach!  The first picture is of the corral that you can see after high tide.  The last picture is of my sister, Chris.  We were searching for sea shells!  I can't believe all the shells we found after high tide.  I brought home a huge bag of shells!  It reminds me of Easter, searching for eggs!

It is so wonderful to be able to spend time with family!  I got to see my great nephew, Kamden, for the first time!  He and uncle Mark were watching the football game on TV!

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!  The kids came home and and our days were full of fun, eating and laughing!  It is so wonderful to have everyone under the same roof.  It will be sad when all the kids go back home.

This was Rossi's first Christmas and he and Martini had a blast!  I guess I should take more pictures of the kids, but the animals are just so darn cute!  Here are a couple of pictures I took on Christmas day.  Mark and Rossi (Martini is in my lap helping me take pictures.) Matt, Rachael and Josh.  Erin and Jake.  Jake is giving Rossi the "evil eye!"  LOL!

We have one week of rest until we gear up for breeding season.  In January, I have to clean out all the plumbing on the stallions.  Thank goodness, our weather has been pretty good.  No snow yet!  I know, that will come soon enough!  May all of you have a wonderful New Year's Eve.  My wish for you is that this New Year will bring you happiness and health!!

November 2011

What a busy, fun month!!  I picked up Rossi in St. Louis, MO.  He flew in on Delta.  Martini just loves Rossi!  I found them on their backs on the sofa and couldn't resist this picture!

Drove down to the AQHA Show in Oklahoma City.  It was about an 11 hour drive from Illinois.  It's the first time I drove that way and wasn't in a truck.  I took the Cadillac and listened to 70's music on SiriusXM the entire way!  Jamin' to the oldies!  People who passed me probably thought I was a little strange.

I met my friend Sandy Ellis at the world show.  She introduced me to her wonderful friends, Fred and Vicki Benker, Lanis Noble, Donna Davis, Russ Ellis, Grace Berton and Ken and Gayle Steidel.  Such nice, fun people!

Donna had some of the awesome babies she sold that were showing and they were just gorgeous!  One of her foals, "Raise Your Weapons," out of her good mare Players Heir placed in the top five and looked fantastic out there!

I took pictures of "Lyla."  She was a Reserve World Champion.  The Steidel's have a friend that couldn't make it, so they asked if I would take pictures for her.  This filly had the most gorgeous profile!  She was breathtaking!

The Steidel's awesome mare won the bronze in aged mares!!!  Wow, what a mare!  "Miss Miraculous" is a NN bay mare.  I just couldn't believe she was NN with all that body. She is such a tremendous mare!!  From what I understand, she is a 5 time AQHA World Champion~!

Team Illinois brought home the Gold - in Amateur and Open Yearling Mares!  Congrats to Koch Quarter Horses.  Their mare "Best To Be Me" was breathtaking!  "Fanny" knew what she was doing out there and did it well!!!  It is so wonderful to see people you know, work so hard, and win big!  Congrats to Lea Ann and Bob!!!

I saw my paint friends there too!  Rick McClain, my good buddy, Kathy and Todd Snodgrass and  Dave and Brenda Kellerman.  I just had a great time!

I had never been to a happy hour.  Well, I have now!!!  The place to go is Charleston's.  It is a very nice steakhouse that has great steaks and my favorite- fish.  I was sipping on a nice glass of Riesling wine when Lanis said I had to try a Lemon drop Martini.  I slept good that night, LOL!!  I got such a chuckle out of Russ and Lanis -- those two together were a hoot!  Russ owns that gorgeous AQHA cremello stallion, Supernatural Fella~!

Walking around looking at horses was a thrill.  So many good, good horses in one place.  Even the sale barn had some nice horses.  But to see some of these big name Quarter Horses up close and personal...was phenomenal!

I took some other pictures I want to share with you of the horses at the world show!  These are the top horses in the world!

Tila had 7 puppies!  I just love it when we have puppies!  They are so small and cuddly!  She had 7 boys and 1 girl!  One red and the rest black and white with full masks!  I took their dew claws off yesterday and they are all healthy an hungry!  Misha is expecting pups the middle of December.  We will have a full house!

The babies are growing like weeds!  I have them all in the indoor arena and they are best buds! Ice came here at around 15-1 and now stands a firm 15-3.  I've cut back his food, as he is growing so fast and I don't want to hurt his legs.  With our wet weather, the horses can't go out every day.

I won't have any early babies this year, our first one isn't due until March.  I sold the mares that were due early.  I have all the horses under lights now so they will start cycling and can be bred in February.  The mares that are pregnant are huge already!

Rossi has settled in and what an adorable boy he is.  Martini just loves him and it is a hoot to watch them play.  She is very gentle with him and he adores him.  As I am typing, Martini is by my side in the chair and Rossi is on my lap with his head on the keyboard.  It makes it a little hard to type, but what the heck!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I cooked for 2 days, but when you are doing it for your family, it is well worth it!  Our oldest son, Josh, was still on his road trip...so he couldn't make it.  We missed him, but he will be here for Christmas!  On Friday night, Matt played at Donnie's, so we all loaded up and watched him play.  It is so much fun!!

I am getting geared up to start my Christmas shopping.  We are putting up our tree today, so I guess I should get busy!  Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends.  I've been truly blessed and am thankful for all I am able to do!

October 2011

Happy Halloween to everyone!  I don't know if I am ready for this cold weather to start!  I would love fall weather all year!  I think the horses would too!

We purchased a new yearling AQHA palomino stallion this month, his name is "ICE."  His sire is Mr Ice Te, who is an AQHA World Champion and AQHA Congress Champion.  Ice's dam is a 2X reserve WC producer and has over 120 AQHA halter points.  He already stands 15-3 as a yearling, so he should reach 16+ hands full grown.  He is also HYPP/NN. Our daughter will have her hands full showing next year with ICE and Exceptional Detail!  I will get to show my big guy, DC Legacy....so next year will be fun!!

I picked up our new Maltese puppy the last Monday of the month in St. Louis, MO!  He flew Delta from Washington.  Shasta Grimes of Desert Hobby Ranch, has the most beautiful Maltese I have ever seen!  "Rossi" will have a great home with us.  Our little princess, Martini will finally have her prince charming!  LOL!

I'm looking forward to going to the AQHA World Show!  I'm meeting some of my friends there and can't wait to see all the beautiful horses.  This will be the first time I haven't been to the APHA World Show, but I will return next year with DC Legacy and Exceptional Detail.

I wish I had more to add, but life here is very simple and wonderful!

September 2011

We've had such a beautiful September!  The temperatures have been in 70's and the horses were loving it!

I purchased another adorable Maltese!  His name is Rossi.  Now I have a Martini and Rossi!  He is only 4 weeks old, so I won't get to snuggle with him for a while!  I know Martini is excited to have a new boyfriend!!  Isn't he a cutie??  What fun it will be naming their puppies..."Apple Tini, Olive Tini, Fuzzy Tini, Mint Tini, Ooh La La Martini..."

On a more sober note....I lost my step-mom, Lynne to breast cancer this month.  She fought a long and hard battle against the cancer.  I was so proud of her as she was such a positive person and stayed that way until the end.  She will be deeply missed by all of us.  But, I feel like she is in a better place, has a better body and is helping God run heaven!

On a more positive note, we had our IL futurity on the 24th of this month.  I had only 2 weeks to fit Erin's little filly, Exceptional Detail, "Gerdy."  It was a busy summer.  The futurity was our only show this year.  Hopefully next summer will be better. Gerdy ended up with 2 first and 2 seconds, with a first place win in Early Weanling Stallions!  I am so proud of that little girl!  Lonnie McClain showed her and did an outstanding job!

I was outside taking some pictures today, all I seemed to get were their fannies!  I've named these pictures, "Field of Butts, #1 and #1, LOL!  Maybe Kevin Kosner would like to try another movie?   I must be tired, these things are making me giggle.

I have a surprise and post it in October!  We keep striving to be better and give our customers something special.  Stayed tuned!

A word of warning for all you hand gun women....never put your finger where the chamber comes back.  What a dumb thing to do, but after ripping my thumb open and going to the emergency room, I now know not to do that.  I think I will stick with my shot guns, I have shooting skeet since I was 9 years old.  Yes, believe it or not, I was the state Jr. Skeet Champions at a ripe old age of 11.  My neighbor, Mac McGee, taught me how to shoot.  We would sit in his basement for hours drinking Coca Cola from the little bottles and putting shot gun shells together.  He would bet other people that this small girl with pig tails could beat them...and I shot a 4-10!!  I won Mac all sorts of money.

August 2011

Our oldest son, Josh, started a blog about his trip.  http://joshualivasy.blogspot.com I have enjoyed reading it and living through his adventures!  Just so he and Amanda stay safe, my prayers will be answered!

With cooler weather settling in, the horses and myself have been enjoying the weather more!  I am in the process of weaning the last two babies, Cami and Bogart.  Both seem to be doing pretty good!  Bee left for her new home and Libby leaves for her new home the 20th of this month!  I'm still waiting on APHA to see if Willa can get her regular papers.

All the husky puppies have gone to their new homes!  It's so quiet here, LOL!!!  It's always a little sad when they leave, as they are just a ball of energy and fun as they get older.  I think Misha is enjoying the quiet~!

This will be the first year, we aren't going to the APHA World Show.  I will miss the great times we had with friends.  I would really miss seeing my friend who passed away...Ray.  With so much going on this summer, showing hasn't been possible.  I really miss it and look forward to showing next year!  I am going to try to get to the AQHA World Show.  I've never been and this will be my opportunity to go.  "My Cool Angel" qualified for the AQHA World Show this year!  It was so exciting to receive a silver AQHA packet in the mail with the "letter!"

I'm trying to decide what mare to breed to who.  I really want to try several mare out of DC Legacy to see if he is the producer his dad was.  I'm planning on taking him back to our world show in 2012.  He is a whopping 16-2 now and built like a tank (as a two year old!)

We have added a new broodmare to our band!  Her name is An Alluring Package.  Her sire is The Package x At Long Last and her dam is Sierras Allure x Sierra Te.  Mia is a beautiful 15-3 bay AQHA mare.  I think DC Legacy and she will produce one gorgeous foal.  I'm just counting the days until the next breeding season.  This season should be the most exciting yet!!

I was outside taking some pictures of DC Legacy and when I was looking at them, this one hit me.  I had taken one of his sire...they look so much alike.  I just know DC Legacy will prove to be an even better sire than his father!  NN and all the body and muscle - but with a modern look~!

We could use some rain, but hopefully it will come in September.  This spring was way too wet and now it is way too dry.

Two of our babies went to their new show homes this month.  It was sad to see them go, but exciting to see what they will do.  Lookin Exceptional went to Kentucky and If Looks Could Sting went to northern Illinois.  I have one baby left to sell, Willa.  I need to get some pictures of her and post them.  She is an AQHA/APHA chestnut filly with a flaxen mane.  Pretty striking and as sweet as candy!

July 2011

What a warm month we have had in Illinois!  I don't think it would be so bad if the flies weren't biting everything in site.

Rita Bangs did 2 wonderful water colors for me.  One of DC Legacy and the other of Jamaican Hottie! She is such a talented lady.  You can see her website at www.ritabangs.com  I'm saving my pennies to have Exceptional Look done next!!!  I'm even thinking maybe she should do a watercolor of Martini, my loveable Maltese!  The possibilities are endless!!

I've been enjoying Misha's puppies!  They are 5 weeks old and are now coming into their own personalities and are adorable!  I purchased a new Nikon D3100 camera and the pictures it takes are just amazing.  The puppies love having their pictures taken.  Go to our husky site, www.siberianhuskydla and look how cute they are!!  I take new pictures every week for the new owners.

Our oldest son Josh and his girlfriend, Amanda, decided to take 6 months and planned a tour of places to boulder and rock climb.  Josh's passion is climbing and he is really very good!  He and Amanda purchased a van, did the inside themselves and are driving to Wyoming, through the top states, into Canada, down through California and home by Christmas!  They were here a couple of days before they left on their adventure.  Pretty impressive how they constructed and built the inside of the van.  It is all geared to their climbing equipment!

I weaned Looking Exceptional, Exceptional Detail, Hot N Obvious, and The Exceptionalist.  This was probably the easiest weaning I have ever done.  The girls are all good friends, so they are just very happy!  No one missed a meal!!!  The mama's didn't even seem to mind.  I turned them out into the back pasture and they are enjoying the good grass and freedom!

"Ember", Hot N Obvious, went to her new home this month!  She is such a good girl and has a great show home with Olivia Palousek of Palousek Quarter Horses of Texas.  "Bee" If Looks Could Sting, is going to find a new home in California.  My question is...why are my babies getting to go to places that don't have snow?  LOL!!!

7-20-11...One of the saddest days of my life....after 16 years of love, we came to the hard decision of putting to rest our first dog of our children's life.  Slapshot, named after my boys who played hockey was such a loving dog.  I kept putting it off, who am I to decide what lives and what doesn't.  The poor guy was blind, deaf and couldn't smell anymore.  He had several strokes, but kept going on.  I know God made me his keeper and I felt his quality of life was not a good one.  Rest in peace, my dear sweet Slappy.  I will dream of how wonderful you were and you will always be in my heart!

I finally found a manure spreader that was in excellent condition.  Can't wait to try it out!  So sad to be excited about implements!  LOL!  Mark drove over to Indiana to pick it up for me, as my mom was in town and I was spending time with her!  What a great husband!!

We have one red female siberian husky left.  The gentleman that purchased her had a family emergency and couldn't take her.  You can see her on www.siberianhuskydla.com  These pups are so sweet!!!

June 2011

With summer in full swing, the horses are loving the green grass!  Watching the babies grown is so exciting.  They just keep getting better with age!  All the babies are halter broke now and doing a good job of spending time away from mamma.  I haven't weaned anyone yet, as it is such a beautiful picture watching the babies interact with the others and their moms!

We haven't started showing this year.  With the scare of the EHV-1, I haven't wanted to risk taking DC Legacy out.  I'm still thinking whether to show in the fall futurities.  Maybe a year off would be nice, just let the horses be horses!  We haven't had any outbreaks in Illinois, but why chance it?  These horses mean too much to me!!

Misha had her puppies!!! They are just adorable.  I love to watch them wiggle and squeak!  This is the part of having animals I love the best...the babies!  She had 3 girls and 3 boys!  They were all sold within 3 days of being born to great husky homes!

I took some pictures of the spring flowers around the barn!  The barn is my favorite place to be!  After everything is weeded and mulched, I just sit back and enjoy!

DC Precision's offspring are still doing him proud!!  Sherry Cesar and her 2 year old, DCs Grand Finale have been racking up the points!  Dr. Tom Tischer and Elizabeth Frohse just won the Amateur 2 year old stallion class at the Pinto World and won a Reserve Championship in Open 2 year old stallion!  Way to go guys!!!

June 19.  It was a sad day today....my good, good friend, Ray Ramirez passed away from a fatal car crash.  Ray was the type of guy who made those who knew him, feel as if they were the most important person on earth.  His love of horses was contagious.  He bred some great world champion horses and just kept trying to improve the breed.  At the APHA World Show, we always met there and had amazing good times.  Our favorite restaurant was Joe T. Garcia's in the Stockyards.  I will always remember those times and treasure them.  Ray's death will bring such a void to our lives.  Ray....please take care of DC Precision and his son Sparky until we meet again.  Good bye my good friend....RIP....

Our daughter, Erin, has received her MBA!!!  Graduation with a 3.58/4.0!!  I am so proud of this girl!  She is now working on her test she needs for her Stockbroker license.  I think Erin is one of these girls that will go far!  We're proud of you ER!!!!

May 2011

I want to start writing, as so much is happening in May!  Our son, Matt graduated from McKendree University with their masters in counseling!  We had a great day.  My mom and sister flew up from Florida to attend. Mark, myself, Erin, Mom and Chris (my sister) drove to Lebanon, IL to watch the ceremony.  We had beautiful weather and the ceremony was great.  Matt had the honor of carrying the banner onto the stage.

I know breeding season is almost over, but I want to take a minute and thank all of the wonderful people who have bred to Jamaican Hottie and Exceptional Look!  I don't think I've had a busier breeding season!  You know it's good when the Fed Ex girls meet you with a smile and know your name!  LOL!  I feel so thankful to be doing what I do.  Not many people get to live their dream lives and do a job they truly love to do!

We have confirmed 4 mares in foal for 2012!  I am holding several mares over for an early breeding to DC Legacy.  Each year seems to bring more excitement with these stallions!  As always, Jamaican Hottie is throwing sensational foals!  We are keeping his bay filly, Miss Hottie Pants, "Cami," as a future broodmare.  She is such a beautiful filly!  I don't know if I will be able to part with Bogart.  Our only colt this year.  He is such a joy and such a wonderful personality!  His mama is 20 years old and he dotes on her and makes sure she is good before he runs and plays.  Then he returns to make sure she is still doing good!  I've never seen a foal react that way with their mom!

Here are the mares we bred this year:
Jamaican Rose and Exceptional Look for an AQHA/APHA foal.
Shesa Sting and Exceptional Look for an APHA foal.
Obviously At Last and Jamaican Hottie for an AQHA foal.
SF This Girls Cool and Exceptional Look for an AQHA/APHA foal.  "Cherry" is a maiden mare, so it will be exciting to see what she throws!

Weaned Libby, Ember, Willa and Gerdy.  They are doing surprising well and so are the mom's.  I waited longer this year to wean and it seemed to be the better thing to do!

April 2011

Spring is here!!!  Lots of rain, but at least it isn't snow!  I have the most wonderful news!  Our son Matthew is engaged to a wonderful girl!!!  The wedding is set for September 2, 2012.  This will be the first marriage for us.  I am so very excited~!

All the new foals are on the ground, healthy and growing like weeds!  I want to take more pictures, but we have had so much rain, it scares to let them out.  Ember is sold to Olivia Palousek of Texas.  Olivia is going to get back into showing world champion halter horses!  I can't be more pleased!

I've begun working with DC Legacy and will show him this summer.  He is huge....16 hands as a 2 year old and what a body he has!  I still am amazed how much he likes like his father, DC Precision.

Breeding season has been busy this year.  I've made good friends at our Fed Ex!  LOL!  So far (knock on wood)  Jamaican Hottie has been a 100 percent filly producer!  Don't ask me how he did it, but he did!!!  Exceptional Look's babies are everything I hoped they would be.  I am so impressed with them!!  I think I have another good one here!  So far Exceptional Look has only produced 2 overo colts and one solid filly.  The rest have been colored fillies!  I want to thank all the great people who have bred to Jamaican Hottie and Look!  I know Hottie is a proven producer, but to see what Look is putting on the ground, just makes my heart sing!!

I have an intern working with me here at the farm from Richland Community College for the next 4 weeks.  I am showing her how to collect, breed, ultrasound and general horse care.  She has also been busy loving on all the babies.  That's the best part of the job!  Her goal is to be a vet tech.

We've had some terrible storms in the midwest this month.  Last night (4-27), DL Mister Precision was killed by a lightning strike.  He was owned by Kathy and Mike Owens of Whistleville Farms.  Mister was the only tobiano son of DC Precision.  He was an APHA World Champion and just starting his breeding career.  Mister was 4 years old.  My condolences go to Kathy and Mike.  I know they loved their boy.  He will be sadly missed...

Jamaican Royale is going to a great show home!  Thank you Mary for purchasing him.  I know this colt will go far!!!  Watch for him winning at an AQHA show near you!!

March 2011

What a great month, our weather has finally "lost the snow!" We had three gorgeous foals born this month.

On March 2, Lilly, Obviously At Last, had a stunning black AQHA filly out of Hottie, named "Ember.  March 10.  Registered name: Not N Obvious.  This little girl is a looker!

Sting, Sheza Sting had a loud overo APHA filly out of Exceptional Look, named Bee, and on
March 28.  Registered name:  If Looks Could Sting.  Big, splash overo mare with two baby blue eyes.  Just gorgeous!

Lee, Obviously Feminine, gave birthday to the most precious stud colt I have ever seen!  He is a splash overo, AQHA, APHA.  Thought I would name him "Bogart!"  This will be her last colt on her own.  She is 21 and I will do embryo transfers next year.  She loves being a mother and the bond between those two is just heart warming!

Matt celebrated his 27th birthday with us!  We met he and Rachael for dinner.  Erin went with us.  She just purchased a new car, so she was our taxi!

We've been ultrasounding mares and breeding them!  I've been pretty busy on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays!  The two boys have been at a high demand!  I am so glad they are easy to collect, as I do it all by myself!  I get the biggest kick out of Fed Ex.  I bring in my boxes and they just laugh.  I made up a label for the box.  We don't send semen, our swimmers go to swim meets!  LOL!!!

I'm so looking forward to the warmer weather in April.  I saw my first fly today!  We have one more baby coming in April, Ellie and Hottie.  After that, it is time to get some sleep!

February 2011

For the ground hog not seeing his shadow, Mother Nature sure hit us with some bad winter storms this year!  I can't remember the last time we were hit by so much ice and snow for such long periods.  It will be so nice to see the sun again!

February was a great month!  We had two babies born!  Missy and Willa.  Missy (on left) is out of Exceptional Look and Detailed By Rockafella.  She is colored just like her mama, I think she will be a bay dun.  She has the zebra stripes on her legs!  She will be able to go into three registries, APHA/AQHA and IBHA!  Willa (on the right) is out of Exceptional Look and GQ Eclipse.  I'm not sure if she is a chestnut or a palomino.  I'm going to have to wait for her to shed out!  She will be AQHA and APHA!

On the 25th, Matt played at Donnie's in Decatur.  As always, it was wonderful to just listen to him play.  A good group of people shared the night with us!

Jamaican Rose is checked in foal to Exceptional Look for a early January, 2011 foal!  I hope I get another Libby!  Libby is just a chunk and so friendly.  I put a halter on her for the first time and was a stitch she was!  She wanted that thing off her head...but got use to it!  She looks so grown up in her new red halter!

Wincredible Charm is going to a great home in March!  It is always so nice to meet new people!  They are going to trail ride with her and do a little showing!!

Our son, Matthew got engaged to his sweetheart!  I couldn't pick a better daughter in law!  I am so excited for them.  This will be our fist child to get married!  They haven't picked out a date yet, so I can't announce the happy time!

January 2011

Happy New Year everyone!  What a winter we have had!  Jamaican Rose gave birth to a gorgeous APHA/AQHA chestnut filly!  This is Exceptional Looks first foal!  I can't believe the color we got with a chestnut AQHA mare!  Her barn name is Libby and we decided to name her Lookin Exceptional!  You can go to our baby page and look at the video I made of her playing in the snow!  I can't get over how strong and independent she is at only 2 weeks old.  If this is the type of foal Exceptional Look is going to throw, he should be an "Exceptional" sire!!

All the stallion's pipes are cleaned out and we are ready to go!  Thank you to everyone who has sent in contracts and purchased our 2 boys in futurities!  It's nice to know that people are interested in quality and I think both Jamaican Hottie and Exceptional Look are top quality!

Our daughter Erin just purchased a new house, so we've been busy moving her in!  I hate to see her go, but I know she has to grow and be on her own.  I just loved having her at home!!  I remember our first home, how exciting it was to be a homeowner!

We aren't expecting another foal until the 24th of February.  Detailed By Rockafella is bred to Exceptional Look.  "Pebbles" is a world champion mare and hopefully this baby will make her a world champion producer as well!!  After that, I think we have 1 every two weeks coming until April!

We are expecting 12 to 20 inches of snow this week. (1-30-11)  I don't think Illinois has seen that type of snow in ages.  It should get interesting!
