Let Us Introduce Ourselves!

Double L Acres specializes in breeding and selling world class halter horses.  We are successful paint horse and quarter horse breeders in Decatur, Illinois. The backbone of our operation was our two-time AQHA, APHA World Champion halter stallion and World Champion Sire, DC Precision. 

Our two stallions, DL Beyond Precision and Sparked By Precision  will follow in their father's foot steps!

The Livasy Family, Erin, Matt, Mark, Josh and Vicki.
 
To enhance our breeding program, we have  AQHA Jamaican Hottie.  The son of Sir Cool Skip.  Hottie is HYPP/NN and homozygous for the black gene!
 
While at the 2008 APHA Fall classic, we purchased a 2007 Sorrel Overo Stallion, Exceptional Look.  "Kid" is out of World Champion Quarter Horse Kidlook x Kid Clu.  His dam is out of the great quarter Horse, Azzari. Raised by Carri Jones.  With Kids look, he should be an exceptional sire!
 
At Double L Acres, we are dedicated to breeding top-quality APHA registered Paint Horses and AQHA Quarter Horses.  Our band of broodmares are the finest quality horses around.  We have broodmares with excellent pedigrees including:  Sockett, Sonny Dee Bar, Sir Cool Skip, Ima Cool Skip, Perpetualism, Cool Eternity, Barlink Macho Man, Impressive, Weiscamp breeding, Scotch Bar Time, Kid Clu, GQ Eclipse, RD Rockafella, Kidlook, Azzari, and Mr Yella Fella!

Double L Acres' DC Precision in the pasture. DC PRECISION, February 17, 2001 to October 8, 2008...RIP Big Guy.  Thank you for the ride, I will never forget you! Our world champion stallion started it all.  His babies were spectacular!!!!  He threw tiny dish heads, short, strong backs, posty hocks, drippy behinds and size!  Two of DC's first babies from his foal crop placed at the 2005 APHA World Show--Amateur World Champion, Open Reserve Champion, and a Top Ten Placing (7th) AND...4th at the World Wide Congress! (Not to mention, all the winnings in the Midwest Futurities!)  His son, DL Star Precision brought home a second buckle at the 2006 APHA World Show, winning a Reserve World Championship! At the 2007 APHA World Show, his get brought home 2 World Championships, 1 Reserve Championship, 2 top five and 2 top ten placings!  Now to make things better, DC Precision is double registered, APHA, AQHA!!!


 
JAMAICAN HOTTIE is a beautiful dark bay stallion out of Sir Cool Skip.  Hottie stands a firm 16H and is HYPP/NN.  We also found out that this great boy is EE, homozygous for the black gene.  He will not throw a red foal, even if bred to a sorrel mare!  I am really pleased with his babies!  Hottie, like DC, is throwing tiny dish heads, short, strong backs, posty hocks, and great muscling.


 
EXCEPTIONAL LOOK is our newest stallion.  Double registered APHA and AQHA. He is LWO Neg.  His pedigree is outstanding, from his sire, World Champion Kidlook x Kid Clu to his dam, CJ Tardees Angel x Azzari.  Carri Jones raised CJ Tardees Angel and purchased Azzari from Sandy Ellis!  Kid's dam is a true crop out, supporting all quarter horses on his papers.  Will be taken to the 2009 APHA World Show and begin his breeding career in 2010!




 
SPARKED BY PRECISION  is the legacy DC left to us. We are truly blessed to have this colt and hope he will be the great sire his father was.  Will be shown at the 2009 APHA World Show!  Sparky will start his breeding career in 2011. 

 



 

DL BEYOND PRECISION will be added to our breeding program in 2010.  He is a son of DC and full brother to 2X World Champion, DL Star Precision.  He is growing so fast, that we will start showing him his 2 year old year.  He will be going to the 2009 APHA World Show to follow in his father's footsteps!
